How to Ignite your team
In this book, Claire Cahill offers team managers a unique process for improving the performance of their team using a range of coaching skills and tools. The aim is to enable any manager to bring about fundamental change within an unengaged or dysfunctional team, even if that means losing staff members.
In 2014, Claire Cahill took 9 hand selected staff members each of whom had been identified as underperforming or disengaged by their manager. They were formed into a team so they could rediscover their own motivation, values and beliefs before deciding whether to continue in their role or at the organisation.
Some members of staff understood why they were there, some didn’t. Some realised they were disengaged, others didn’t. Over the following 12 weeks, the team underwent a huge personal and professional transformation, one that led to many being promoted, becoming re-engaged with their role and rediscovering their sense of purpose as part of their original team.
This book reveals the combination of theory, case study and methodology used during that 12-week experiment, plotting the approaches, strategies, tools and methods that brought about the change for both the individual team members and for Claire herself, creating an open case study and management guide for any team leader wanting to bring about significant changes in team performance.
